First time in 31 years (excepting covid) I've not been at Le Mans in June - moving house this June!!!

YESTERDAY'S (FRIDAY) DRIVERS TALKS AT 1st TICKET's site at BSJ. The Radio Le Mans TEAM, almost the whole gang were there and in great form. The Aston Team were very incitful. Really appreciate these guys giving us their time and experiences.

AROUND THE CAMPSITES

THERE ARE DEFINITELY NO CYCLES ALLOWED INSIDE THE CIRCUIT - BUT THOUSANDS OF DEADLY SILENT SCOOTERS! Friday cycle/scooter/run walk is still on sometime after 3pm

THE TRAM IS STILL THERE

AGAIN OTHER SHOUT FOR THE BUSSES - They are 200% better than last year. More of them, better bus stops /turn rounds with bike parking next to them (but not inside the circuit)

CAMPSITES UPDATE

TETRE ROUGE UPDATE - ENTRANCE NEXT/UNDER THE BAR IS STILL OPEN TO VEHICLES/CYCLES AND PEDESTRIANS

THE BAR IS OPEN AND HAS LOTS OF SPACE BUT NONE FACING THE CIRCUIT BUT THE NOISE IS GREAT!

SECURITY IS ITS USUAL LE MANS BONKERS - 8 ACO TICKET PINGERS, 1 SECURITY GUARD who has to check/scan everybody?? This was at MAISON BLANCHE; where the ONLY 'FOOT' WAY WAS VIA THE NEW BRIDGE OVER THE ROAD.

BSJ guy said it WASN'T BAD AT KARTING ENTRANCE - normal Le Mans - should all calm down once the big crowds are out!

I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS NOW A FULLY TICKETED AREA '25 - ONLY WAY NOW TO GET TO THE BANKING BEHIND THE WHEEL Is to go to the PORSCHE BRIDGE and just before you climb the bridge TURN LEFT AND WALK ALONG THE BANKING. Using the picture below, just go straight on before you turn left into the bridge steps.

BEWARE THIS IS THE ONLY ENTRANCE/EXIT oh and they have angled the bid screen even further toward inside track so that you can't see it from the banking - I know it was bad before but it's impossible now!

GOOD NEWS THERE ARE MORE EATERIES, especially Museum Side of Dunlop and they are all smarter than last year and BSJ seems to have more facilities, but it is still miles from the VILLAGE.

YOU CAN'T WALK UP TO THE DUNLOP BRIDGE ALONG THE EDGE OF THE TRACK - GRANDSTAND T5 GOODYEAR IS BLOCKED (FENCED IN) NEXT TO THE DUNLOP BRIDGE.

BUSES AND TRAINS

They have made far more effort this year with buses and the "mini train". Whole dedicated mini train station up in the Village near the Tunnel to the Museum/MAIN ENTRANCE - FAR BETTER SIGNAGE ALSO BECAUSE VERY FOOT ENTRANCE ON THE AIRFIELD SIDE IS OVER A BRIDGE. IT MEANS THE ROAD NEXT TO THE GRANDSTANDS NOW FLOWS FAR BETTER. THIS COULD BE SIGNIFICANT but you still have to negotiate BSJ roundabout!

APOLOGIES if you have been on line whilst I was doing this update - I had to keep "publishing what I had done and then amend it as there were a lot of 4G outages - it all better now.....typical LM.

NEW ROUTE FOR 2024 (well it was there in'23 but I didn't know about it!) Great for BSJers to get onto the Museum side of the track. It should also take some pressure off the Start/Finish Tunnel during the crush times.E
